Well June this year must be the worst I can remember
weather wise, the fishing on the other hand has been
outstanding with no shortage of mackerel for bait. We have
had
brilliant ray fishing with 2 double hook ups, yes that's 2
rays on the same rig, once with smalleyes and once with
blondes with bass and flattys mixed in. Tope in almost
plague proportions, best smalleye ray day 27+ and 2 bass,
best blonde day 14 to 19lb, 4 gurnards and 1 bass,
1 brill and lots of tope, best undulate day 10 to 17lb 2
bass 2 smoothies. All the rays were returned as were over
30% of the bass. I also held my own in the annual
PCSA
species hunt with 23 species on the boat which is a new
pb. Lets hope July is just as good but with some better
weather.
